LYNNWOOD — A woman died after being struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon on the sidewalk along Highway 99.
A driver pulled out of the Value Village parking lot around 1:30 p.m. near the highway’s intersection with 176th Street SW, according to Lynnwood Police spokesperson Joanna Small. The driver hit a pedestrian on the sidewalk while turning right onto the highway.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Small said. Her identity had not been released.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. As of Friday afternoon, no arrests had been made.
The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
