Person and dog found dead after RV fire on Ebey Island

A passerby reported seeing the flames from the U.S. 2 trestle.

EVERETT — A person and a dog were found dead after a fire at a RV on Ebey Island early Wednesday morning.

A passerby driving on the U.S. 2 trestle reportedly saw the fire and called 911 at 2:46 a.m. Lake Stevens Fire, Everett Fire and Snohomish Fire District 4 firefighters worked to keep it from spreading beyond the 30-foot vehicle in the 5300 block of Riverside Avenue. The person and dog were discovered after the flames were out.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal is investigating.
