Students in Marshall Elementary School’s preschool were treated to a visit with the friendly animals Tuesday, after teachers decided that time spent by the children with animals would be more meaningful for them than holding their usual preschool graduation ceremony.
Developmental preschool teachers Kelli Marble and Lynne Swanson arranged for Animal Encounters to bring their petting zoo program, which features holdable and touchable animals, including a Patagonian cavy, a Kune Kune pig, pygmy goats, chinchillas, bunnies and chickens.
