People in Edmonds celebrated the new year Thursday by braving the cold during the 19th annual Polar Bear Plunge. Before the plunge, hundreds marched down Main Street to the traditional entry point at Brackett’s Landing North. Others lined the Edmonds Waterfront Viewpoint to watch from a drier vantage point. The plunge at Brackett’s Landing North was started by Brian Taylor, the owner of Daphnes Bar.
