SPOKANE — A pilot who died in a small plane crash Sunday near Cataldo, Idaho, was a Spokane businessman.
KHQ-TV reported that 67-year-old John Lippis owned Swedish Motorcar Service.
He was the only person aboard the single-engine kit plane that took off from the Shoshone County Airport. Residents heard the plane go down but it took searchers three hours to find the wreckage in the hilly, tree-covered area.
