Smith kicks off her campaign
FREELAND — Rep. Norma Smith, R-Clinton, will begin her campaign to keep her legislative seat Saturday.
Washington state Attorney General Rob McKenna, a Republican, will be the keynote speaker at her 9 a.m. kickoff in Freeland Hall, 1515 Shoreview Drive.
Smith was appointed to her 10th Legislative District seat in January and will seek her first full two-year term.
Democrat Tim Knue of Mount Vernon is the only declared challenger.
