COLFAX — A Pullman man has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for beating his father to death earlier this year.
24-year-old Erik Luden was sentenced Friday to 244 months in prison for the death of 58-year-old Virgil Luden of Sammamish, Washington, on May 30.
The Moscow-Pullman Daily News says a Whitman County jury found Luden guilty of second-degree murder on Wednesday.
Experts testified that the victim was struck at least 15 times around the head and neck inside his son’s Pullman apartment.
Erik Luden contended his father attacked him first with a kitchen knife.
