U. S. Rep. Rick Larsen will meet riders on a Lynnwood-to-Seattle bus trip Tuesday morning.
Larsen will talk to riders on what he calls a “commute-with-your-congressman Town Hall” event starting at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday at the Swamp Creek Park and Ride.
Larsen says that he will join morning commuters on a Community Transit Route 413 bus to talk about federal support for roads, bridges, highways and transit systems. He says he also will answer questions from people about issues of interest to them.
Democrat Larsen, a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee represents Washington’s 2nd Congressional District, including Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, coastal areas of Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties from Mukilteo to Bellingham, and all of Island and San Juan counties.
Larsen said recently that he invites people interested in talking with him who do not typically use the Lynnwood-Seattle commuter route. The bus will return to the Swamp Creek Park and Ride in Lynnwood at about 9:00 a.m. after the trip to Seattle.
Other commuters will have the option of riding a 60-foot articulated bus that will follow Larsen, who will ride a Double Tall double-decker bus marked with a sign “Commute with Congressman Larsen.” Both buses will travel on Route 413.
The Swamp Creek Park and Ride is at 3115 164th St. S.W., Lynnwood.
