BOTHELL — A reported burglary in Lynnwood led Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies on a short chase into Bothell on Friday afternoon.
The report came in around noon, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. Shortly afterward, deputies spotted the suspected burglar’s car near 164th Street, but he hopped onto I-5 and then I-405 before ditching his car in Bothell.
Deputies blocked off an area near Crystal Springs Elementary School as they searched for him, Hover said. They caught up with him about 2:45 p.m. at a house just south of the school.
He was arrested and later booked for investigation of burglary, eluding police and possibly other crimes, Hover said.
