HYAK — Crews will be blasting rock from the slopes along I-90 east of Snoqualmie Pass on Tuesday evening.
The rock blasting is part of a $551 million project to widen a five-mile stretch of the highway from four lanes to six and improve reliability and safety.
The Washington state Department of Transportation says the roadway will be closed in both directions from Hyak at milepost 54 to the Price Creek Sno Park at milepost 61 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
