50 years ago (1957)
Everett Junior College students elected to offices at the college last week were Cal Papritz of Everett, freshman class president; Mike Long of Marysville, treasurer of the Associated Men Students; Sandra Ericksen of Marysville, secretary-treasurer of the freshman class; Arlene Peterson of Everett, secretary of the Associated Women Students; Bill Wilson of Everett, freshman vice president, and Phil Turner of Granite Falls, sophomore class president.
New officers of the Na-Wa-Kwa Camp Fire group were Carolyn Kirk, president; Jody Littleton, vice president; Mary Beth Grashio, secretary; Cynthia Kirk, treasurer, and Linda Patton, scribe.
25 years ago (1982)
Dorcas McLennan and Gregory Hyde, both of Everett, were admitted to the Basic Medical Sciences program at Washington State University. The program offered by WSU, Montana State University, University of Idaho and University of Alaska-Fairbanks, provided basic courses for the first-year students at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Former members of Snohomish High School’s Marine Corps Junior-Reserve Officer Training Corps program interested in a reunion between Christmas and New Year’s were asked to contact Maj. Robert Adams at Snohomish High School.
