50 years ago (1957)
Members of the Auxiliary to Everett Chapter, Disabled American Veterans were on the streets selling blue forget-me-nots to raise money to finance the work the women did for the vets throughout the year. Chairing the drive were Elva Evans and Louise Aldrich.
The Everett Accelerators were headed to the Armory where the Everett Auto Show was opening. Among them were Harold Smith, Bob Kuehn and Jerry Cles.
25 years ago (1982)
A group of county dairy women had been making Purple Cow at the Evergreen State Fair for nearly 20 years. A purple cow was a blackberry ice cream float. Mary Lou Lane was chairing the project.
