Hatloe &Son at California and Hoyt was having a grand opening for its new floor-covering department. Duane Osterud was department head and contract estimator. Ken Fosket was a specialist in linoleum and wall tile installation. Ken Atwell was a specialist in linoleum and Formica installation.
25 years ago (1982)
The Edmonds School District was planning to create nine full-day kindergarten centers that would replace the half-day programs at 17 of the district’s elementary schools. The program was going well in Chris Bailey’s class at Oak Heights Elementary School.
The 75 members of the Mariner High School band had been planning all winter for their spring break. All the candy and candle sales, as well as the spaghetti dinners, had paid off. They were off to Disneyland for their vacation.
