New officers for the Knights of Columbus in Everett were Alex Gyorog, the Rev. Edmund Long, Robert Sevenich, Edward Reischman, Rudy Murgo, George Webber, Ray Reigers, Charles Bloomfield, George Shuh, Terrence Reilly, Frank Konechy and Wallace Barnett.

25 years ago (1979)

Residents of Startup and surrounding areas could get free health checkups at a mobile health unit at Alpen Village Drive-In at the west end of town. The screening was a public service of the Startup Seventh-day Adventist Church. Harry White, pastor, advised those with problems to see their family physicians.
