Selected to become manager of the Port of Everett, succeeding the late Walter Rappuhn, was Thomas J. Murray, port consultant. Previously traffic manager for Portland, Ore., Murray came highly recommended. He would assume his new duties in March after closing his private business in Seattle.
Bringing the cost of automobiles down still lower, Nash Motor Co. was introducing its new Rambler club sedan at Follestad-Nash, 2625 Colby Ave. The two-door model was an addition to the line, which also included a four-door sedan and two-door station wagons. Gasoline mileage up to 30 miles per gallon was claimed.
Randy Hansen, a Jimi Hendrix impersonator, was coming back to Everett. He would play in the Everett Civic Auditorium. One of the men in the partnership arranging the booking was Everett native Mike Krajack. Hansen had played here a year before when Everett’s Great American Broadway Sideshow booked Big Horn.
Bookbinding was emerging as a lost art form. Talented in the craft were Snohomish artist Timothy Ely and associate Kindra Myron. Ely’s work could be viewed at Everett Community College’s new art gallery and at Riverside Gallery.
