O.A. Rumbaugh was elected president of the Snohomish County Museum Association at Everett City Hall council chambers. Mayor Louis Unzelman opened the session, received the report of the nominating committee and then called for the election of officers.
The Jackson School PTA was putting on a big Circus Fun Night. Some students were already in the mood for the big night. In circus girl regalia were Lynn Cederblom, Margaret Malstrom and Diane Reynolds. Whooping it up in Wild West style were Terry Haverland, Tom Winde and John Sevenich.
Hazel Venables had been promoting programs for the developmentally disabled since 1957 when she started with eight students in an old building offered by Everett’s Central Lutheran Church. She now directed a new center located near Frontier Village.
The public was invited to a preview of Village by the Lake at 820 E. Cady Road. The 154-unit project located on Beverly Lake in south Everett boasted homes with cedar shake roofs, greenhouse kitchen windows, double-paned windows and raised brick fireplace hearths. Units started at $47,950.
