Positions were reversed in Superior Court here recently when it was the judges who were served with summonses. Ordered to appear at the Everett High School’s Hi-Jinx, titled this year "Courtroom Capers," were Judges Charles R. Denny and Tom Stiger. They were served by their sons, Chuck Denny and Mark Stiger.
An auction would be held by members of Zeta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Iota, international business sorority at the Everett Public Library. Hostesses were Doris Lande, Carrola Lightle and Marion Jones.
James D. Murphy was named plant manager at Scott Paper Co.’s Everett plant, transferring from Sandusky, Ohio. Murphy joined Scott in 1950 as an engineer at Chester, Pa., and had held positions in research and development.
Hoping to get the local business point of view considered in planning for the eastern part of the county, several Index and Gold Bar business owners decided to form a Chamber of Commerce for the area. The charter committee was made up of Chuck Winget, Woody Crandel and Eleanor Barber.
