OAK HARBOR — Police are warning neighbors about a convicted sex offender who has moved to the Oak Harbor area.
Michael J. Rocker, 31, is living on Taylor Road near Sunset Drive.
Rocker was accused of sexually assaulting four girls he had babysat. The girls were between the ages of 8 and 10. He was 16 at the time. After the girls reported what happened, he repeatedly made threats to kill them, according to the warning issued Wednesday by the Island County Sheriff’s Office.
Rocker is described as about 5-feet-8 and 425 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has been convicted three times since 2003 of failing to register as a sex offender.
