SNOHOMISH — The Snohomish High School Armed Drill Team placed first at the 2002 Northwest Drill &Rifle Conference in Bend, Ore., last weekend.
Twenty-six teams participated in the regional junior ROTC event at Mountain View High School.
The winning local drill team consists of 22 cadets.
In individual competition, 1st Lt. Dan Charboneau placed second in the Armed Drill Commander competition.
Matt Hunt placed fourth in Rifle Master. Ryan Blake also placed fourth in Sharp Shooter.
Col. John Mack and Sgt. Maj. Reid Zachary head the platoon.
Meanwhile, for Everett High School, Robert Kelly placed second in Individual Exhibition Drill and fourth in Armed Drill Down.
Marysville High School won three team honors. It placed third in Color Guard 1 and Rifle Team AA, and fourth in Individual Exhibition Drill.
