LAKE STEVENS — Detectives with the Snohomish County sheriff’s Collision Investigation Unit are seeking information about a head-on collision at the intersection of South Machias Road and Virginia Street last month.
Both drivers suffered serious injuries.
The crash occurred just before midnight June 6. Detectives are hoping to find witnesses.
They also are seeking information from anyone who may have been at Doc’s Pilchuck Tavern earlier in the evening June 6 and who witnessed interactions between the man who drove the pickup involved in the crash and other tavern patrons.
The Snohomish man, 41, is believed to be at fault and is suspected of driving under the influence, according to the sheriff’s office. He sustained serious injuries to the spine.
The other driver, a 20-year-old woman, had two broken legs.
Anyone with information should contact detective George Metcalf at George.Metcalf@snoco.org.
