STANWOOD — The city of Stanwood is negotiating a contract for fire and emergency medical services with the North County Regional Fire Authority.
The City Council passed a motion Thursday night to enter final negotiations with the fire authority, officials said. North County Regional Fire Authority serves about 18,000 people in Warm Beach and unincorporated areas north of Arlington.
The city and the fire district will work out the details over the next few weeks, officials said.
They hope to have a final contract by early November.
