LACEY — Police suspect a 17-year-old girl is the hit-and-run driver who injured a 14-year-old boy Monday morning as he was walking at Lacey.
Thurston County Sheriff’s Lt. Greg Elwin said the boy was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in serious condition.
The Olympian reported the girl was upset when she told officials at Timberline High School she may have struck someone.
Elwin said the girl will not be arrested, but she is under investigation for felony hit and run because she did not stop.
