The photo above was shot by Ayrton Clements, a student participating in an eight-week photo class, part of the Promising Artists in Recovery (PAIR) program launched last year in the county’s juvenile court system. To learn more about PAIR, click here.
With support from Ken’s Camera and a donation from the Eastman Kodak Co., the students are documenting their lives, families and communities on film while studying historic photographs and photographers during a weekly class at the Everett Public Library. The class is taught by Herald photographers Annie and Mark Mulligan and facilitated by teaching artist Henri Wilson.
In the coming weeks, more student work will be featured in the newspaper and added to the gallery. Click here to see some of Clements’ work.
Ayrton shot the above photo on a 4×5 large-format view camera outside the library.
