LAKE STEVENS — Police say tips from the community led them to an impatient bank robber.
The man, 21, is believed to be the person behind a botched Jan. 3 holdup at the Wells Fargo Bank branch on 91st Avenue NE.
The robber, who was wearing a ball cap and dark hoody sweatshirt, handed the teller a note demanding cash. He apparently became impatient and fled when the teller walked away. A search of the area with a police dog was unsuccessful.
Police released bank surveillance photos from the holdup. Tips came in, pointing toward the suspect. Lake Stevens police arrested the man early Wednesday. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery.
