TULALIP — A man and a woman were injured Sunday after the boat they were on caught fire.
The fire happened about 9:20 a.m. at the Tulalip Marina.
The fishing boat had been pushed away from the dock and wasn’t tied up when firefighters arrived, Tulalip Bay firefighter Lyle Jones said.
Neighbors reported hearing explosions from the boat. That likely was caused by fuel onboard, Jones said.
Two people were transported by paramedics to a local hospital. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The cause of the fire was unclear Sunday and no other details were available.
