The state Public Disclosure Commission will not hold an emergency meeting to discuss keeping names of contributors to the campaign to qualify Referendum 71 private.
Commissioners will discuss the matter Aug. 27.
Attached is the letter from the PDC to Protect Marriage Washington, which made the request in an Aug. 6 letter. That group is trying to qualify the measure for the ballot. Its leaders are concerned about the safety of donors in the wake of comments posted online by a Bellingham blogger.
