VANCOUVER, Wash. — It’s one thing to rob a bank once the money’s already in it. But twice in recent days, Vancouver police say a male robber has grabbed a bank deposit bag from someone about to make a deposit.
Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp says on Monday, the victim was in the lobby of a Bank of America branch when a man ran up, grabbed the bag and ran off. On Friday, a robber ran up to the driver’s side window of a woman preparing to make a deposit at a US Bank drive-through, grabbed that deposit bag and fled.
Police say they don’t know whether the incidents are related.
