ARLINGTON — A 32-year-old woman killed in Thursday’s crash just south of the city limits was identified by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office as Lisa Ann Penix.
Penix, of Arlington, died from multiple blunt-force injuries suffered in the 2:40 p.m. accident, the medical examiner’s office reported.
Penix was driving north on the 15200 block of 67th Avenue NE when her Honda sedan crossed the center line and hit a Ford pickup head-on, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said. She died at the scene.
The man driving the pickup suffered injuries that were serious but not believed to be life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said. No passengers were in either vehicle. Crash investigators had no initial indication that speeding, alcohol or other drugs contributed to the crash.
