SEATTLE — Seattle police say a man accused of shooting his girlfriend and their 13-week old daughter has been arrested in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Police say 29-year-old Daniel Hicks is now in custody. Police didn’t provide any additional information Monday afternoon.
Hicks is accused of killing 28-year-old Jennifer Morgan and their baby, Emma. Their bodies were found last Tuesday in the basement of her parents’ south Seattle home, where she had lived for several years with Hicks. Hicks disappeared soon after.
The King County prosecutor’s office filed two counts of aggravated first-degree murder against Hicks. Aggravated first-degree murder is punishable either by death or life in prison without the chance of parole.
