SEATTLE — Someone in Washington is super rich.
A single ticket sold in the state hit a Powerball jackpot worth $754.6 million in Monday’s drawing.
The ticket was purchased Sunday at the Fred Meyer, 801 Auburn Way N, in Auburn. The winner has not yet come forward to claim the prize, Washington’s Lottery said in a news release Tuesday.
This is only the second time a Powerball jackpot has been won in Washington, and also in Auburn. The first was in 2014 for a $90 million jackpot.
The winning numbers were 5, 11, 22, 23, 69 and Powerball 7.
This is the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot and ninth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever won.
The winner can take an annuity of $754.6 million over 30 years or a lump sum payment of $407.2 million. Both are before federal taxes.
The next Powerball drawing scheduled for Wednesday night has a mere $20 million jackpot.
