Woman apparently killed by her truck in Richland

RICHLAND — Police are trying to figure out how a woman apparently ran over and killed herself in Richland.

Police found a driverless pickup truck going backward in circles Tuesday night in a parking lot. On the ground was Melissa T. Moone. The 34-year-old Richland woman had apparently been struck. She was taken to a hospital where she died.

Investigators found that Moone had borrowed the truck from friends. Police believe she was alone at the time of the accident.
