KENDALL — A fire official in Whatcom County says a woman was found dead after a mobile home fire in the community of Kendall.
The Bellingham Herald reported that fire crews arrived Wednesday to find flames shooting from the doublewide home. Fire District 14 Chief Jerry DeBruin said they found a body near the front door.
County Medical Examiner Gary Goldfogel said the victim was a woman who was about 45 years old. Her name was not immediately released.
Sheriff Bill Elfo said Wednesday evening the cause of the fire was under investigation.
Pets and livestock outside the home were put in custody of the Whatcom Humane Society.
