RICHLAND — A project to provide on-campus housing for students at Washington State University’s Richland campus is moving forward.
The Tri-Cities Herald reported that three companies recently submitted bids on the project. University officials haven’t released the names of the developers, but RiverWalk LLC, which offered to work with the university last year on a housing project, confirmed Tuesday it was one of the bidders.
WSU is looking to build housing on about 13 acres of the campus.
Documents say university officials want to finish negotiations and paperwork for the project when classes start in the fall. It’s still unclear when students would be able to move in.
Officials are expected to hear presentations from the three bidders in coming weeks.
