Would you like TV with that? McDonald’s is launching its own television channel for broadcast in its restaurants that it says will show local sports, movie previews and human interest stories.

But the McDonald’s Channel’s news isn’t going to be that much different that what you see on Fox News or MSNBC; it’s still just some clown reading headlines.

RIM’s app-ology: To compensate BlackBerry users after the smartphones suffered worldwide email outages last week, Research in Motion is offering BlackBerry owners free apps for their phones, including a speech translator and games.

But the most popular app so far has been one that shows BlackBerry owners the nearest location of an Apple Store where they can buy a new iPhone 4S.

What? No matching headdress? The Arizona-based Navajo Indian Nation is alleging trademark violations and disrespect for its culture by clothing retailer Urban Outfitters for its line of Navajo-branded items, including women’s panties and a liquor flask.

Rather than sue, the Navajos are preparing their own line of clothing for the young hipster crowd that Urban Outfitters caters to, including a T-shirt in Navajo language that when translated reads: “I’m a clueless white dude with no sense of style.”
