The Seahawks and their fans enjoyed an early Christmas gift from the Cardinals on Sunday. Arizona practically gift-wrapped the game for the Hawks, in the form of five interceptions.
With the win, the Hawks secured the NFC West Championship and a playoff berth. If the Seahawks keep on winning, they’ll visit Arizona again as the site of Super Bowl XLII. Unfortunately, the Cardinals won’t be the opponent.
Just call her the swearing nun. The principal at a Catholic school made it quite clear what words were unacceptable at her school. She kept her students back after Mass to read a list of words she did not want to hear on the playground. Or anywhere else, for that matter.
A noble cause. However, we suspect her list might have done more to broaden her students’ vocabulary than clean up their speech.
Snow arrived again Sunday, causing the usual response: glee among skiers, dread among drivers and a flurry of phone calls to cancel tedious Monday meetings. (The snow. So sorry I can’t attend. Sure you understand.)
On a related note, The Buzz regrets to say it won’t be able to attend any meetings today. The snow, ya know.
