Clearly the best choice for council

Mike Ashley, our Democratic Snohomish County councilman, District 1, has served the people of his district with honesty, loyalty and great enthusiasm for working to solve the problems facing Snohomish County.

Mike has distanced himself from those powerful forces of development that we believe are directly responsible for the problems of traffic congestion and school overcrowding – issues that are affecting our quality of life in Snohomish County.

Mike does not flaunt his religious convictions or seek secular advantage by trading on his faith.

Mike has never lied or sent out deceptive information in campaign mailings.

Mike is a real farmer. He does not endorse initiatives which are cleverly worded and intended to deceive and confuse voters, i.e. “Right to Plow.”

Mike would never have sponsored legislation to break off the northern part of Snohomish County into Freedom County and then expect voters of District 1 to trust him as their Snohomish County councilman.

Mike has never supported bigoted, prejudiced positions on social issues. He has always demonstrated tolerance toward all members of our society.

Mike Ashley’s contribution to responsible government in Snohomish County is honesty and a steadfast determination to assure that growth will be approved and welcomed when the infrastructure is in place to accommodate it.
