Contradictions call for clear answers

I do not understand why medicine from Canada, (one of our allies) is banned but we are importing goods from other countries all over the world? Is the government trying to keep all the money in the U.S. to pay for the cuts it plans on making to Medicare and Social Security?

If Social Security was used for retirement only – as it was originally intended – wouldn’t everyone who has paid into it be entitled to receive what they had paid for?

I would like some answers I could believe.
