Regarding the Wednesday article, “Mill Creek traffic glut forces traffic limits”: I have been a resident here for over 25 years. And I can’t believe it has taken the county this long to figure this problem out and didn’t even see it coming. Snohomish County is to blame. They let these developers build and over-build and not be accountable for the widening of the roads. And they let them continue to build, cut trees and build houses that, God forbid if they have an emergency, there is no way an emergency vehicle could get to them, the roads are so narrow.
But they continue to squeeze these developments in any where they can find room. You figure each house will have two vehicles and the county continues to let the developers build. The article talks about what will have to happen and how maybe it could get better if 10 percent of the people change their driving habits and then allow development to continue– hello! I think this is called an oxymoron!
How much development do we need?
