Regarding the Sunday letter, “Why is this allowed to continue to burn,” about the wood chip fire:
The wood chip fire is not Weyerhaeuser’s. Kimberly-Clark owns the debris on fire. It is actually hog fuel, not wood chips. Hog fuel is made of bark and other wood scrap. The use of hog fuel, in turn, generates energy and obviously reduces the need for more hydro power.
