The Democrats, in an effort to win more elections, have sunk to new lows. Having given up on working Americans, who by and large don’t believe collectivism is for them, they have now set their sights on poor, illiterate foreign nationals with no marketable skills in our economy. If you can bring them in, put them immediately on public assistance, and by any means possible turn them into voters, you have a captured constituency. Don’t believe it? Just have a look at the disaster that is our southern border. The Democrats see them as potential voters, legal or not.
Add them to government employees, plus the nearly half of American households already on some form of public assistance, plus millions of young people who want their student loans forgiven and you can easily reach the 51 percent required to govern. And many of these voters will never have to work a day of their life.
In the 1800s there was a name for a place where people were held captive to a master class who controlled their economic circumstances. It was called a plantation. And that is exactly what the Democratic Party is trying to resurrect by destroying the sense of economic freedom this country was built on. Let’s call it for what it is: A welfare plantation.
