I am thinking that the current mayor of Everett has missed the mark. Cassie Franklin seems to think that by shedding some of the city services that will solve any problems. The taxpayers are going to be paying one way or another.
Her solutions are just going to cost more in the long run. Such as the transit tax that the county pays is double what city residents currently pay. We will have to pay more and likely get less. Probably going to be the same thing with the fire department. Give up all local control and just pay more.
Since the first things she did was change the city logo and spend money on inclusion programs. It as though she is more worried with image than actually solving the long term issues.
