A 593-pound bluefin tuna sold for $736,000 at a Tokyo fish market Thursday.

A little extra in the pay envelope: The Obama administration’s 2013 budget would give federal workers an 0.5 percent pay raise.
If the pay hike goes into effect, the president is expected to add a signing statement cautioning workers, “Now don’t go and spend it all in one place.”
The nose knows: The U.S. Supreme Court will decide whether a Florida police dog’s sniff outside the front door of a house with a marijuana growing operation was an unconstitutional intrusion into the home.
