As the VFW year comes closer to ending on June 30, Post No. 2100 is positioned to achieve the coveted All-American Award status once again.
This is the highest honor a post can receive in recognition of the service it provides directly to veterans in support of veteran organizations and the military in their community, and in attaining established membership goals.
Our next major event is our Spring Fling being held Saturday, April 5 from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Post, 2711 Oakes Avenue, Everett, with dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is open to the public. The $10 ticket, which can be purchased in advance or at the door, includes a spagetti dinner and a chance to win the grand prize of a one-night stay at the Hotel Indigo on Everett’s waterfront with dinner at Lombardi’s. We also host a new event at the Post called “Magic: the Gathering” game night for Casual Commander players from 5 to 9 p.m. every Thursday night.
We invite all active and retired military personnel who have served in a foreign war, insurrection or expedition, have served in the Republic of Korea for not less than 30 consecutive days or a total of 60 non-consecutive days, or have received combat pay to visit us and consider becoming a member.
No one does more for veterans than the VFW. The more members we have, the more of a voice we have in Washington, D.C., on behalf of all veterans.
