Gaga and Papa Elton together at last

Hold me closer, Tony Danza: Among the performances for Sunday’s Grammy Awards was a dueling piano duet between rock spectacles present and past, Lady Gaga and Elton John.

Embarrassment was only narrowly avoided prior to their performance when both arrived in identical outfits. Gaga, deferring to the rock icon, changed into something less flamboyant.

  • A really big yellow taxi: The Obama administration is expected to propose that private companies, including Boeing, build and operate a fleet of “space taxis” that it could then hire to shuttle astronauts to and from the International Space Station.

    It sounds like a good idea until you read the meter rates on the side of the spacecraft: $25 million for the first mile and $500,000 for each additional mile.

  • Ima let you finish: With many star players, particularly those with a Super Bowl to play next Sunday, taking a pass, the AFC beat the NFC, 41-34, in the NFL Pro Bowl on Sunday night in Miami.

    Controversy erupted, however, during the presentation of the trophy, when rapper Kanye West grabbed the microphone and declared that Beyonce deserved the Pro Bowl trophy more than either team.
