I would like to share a bright spot in our dreary days.
I live in a 220-unit apartment building downtown Everett where there is a bakery on the street floor.
A few days before the new year there was a knock on my door and I found a young woman pulling a wagon with a toddler and a small dog. She handed me an envelope and wished me Happy New Year.
Inside the envelope I found a letter telling how she had just been through a difficult time but things were now looking very positive for her and saying that she wanted to share that. Enclosed I found a voucher for a cookie from the bakery downstairs.
I feel so fortunate when I meet someone with such a positive attitude during these difficult times and a desire to share that with others.
