It’s simple to fact-check other’s questionable claims

Military vs. education

It’s simple to check facts

Recently a letter to the editor challenged readers to do a quick search on the internet to back up his claim that we don’t spend more on military than education.

The Pentagon budget for 2022 is $782 billion, per Wikipedia. The 2022 budget for the Department of Education was $66.6 billion. That’s what immediately comes up. Huge error for an opinion letter.

Instead of boasting about being from a family of six educated Trump voters, you might check your sources. I purposely did a quick search like you suggested, and have no idea what “internet” the writer uses.

Too bad we do have to “see for ourselves” that the letter writer doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

Since Trump, fact-checking has become a full-time, real-time activity. Lies abound. Trump told thousands of them to us during his term, and that fact is checked. The ones he tells now are all proven to be without evidence. The courts should ban his lawsuits, since they’re lies, buying time over and over and over 60 cases thrown out!

So, if truth doesn’t matter, .yeah, I can make a judgement.
