It’s snack time

It’s a good thing: If you’re planning a party this summer, Martha Stewart has some ideas for serving trays for hors d’oeuvres. She’s hosting a party on a boat and plans to powder-coat the trays with the same colors as the boat.

Sure, it sounds expensive, but you can do this on the cheap for your next tailgate party. Just grab some paper plates and cans of spray paint in your team colors. Just make sure the paint’s dry before you put out the pigs in a blanket.

Not only could a tax on pot bring in $1 billion in revenue, the group estimates, a companion tax on Doritios and Mountain Dew would bring in another $1 billion.

Don’t forget the Ding Dongs: Spending on increased 82 percent between 2001 and 2006 to a total of $303 billion, according to a new government report.

If President Obama is still looking for a way to pay for his health care reforms, he might want to consider jumping on that Doritos and Mountain Dew tax.
