In fact, Gregoire isn’t even in the top 100. That list is dominated by high-demand college professionals, such as University of Washington President Mark Emmert ($518,700), and not-so-high-demand college professionals — namely, UW football coach Tyrone Willingham ($425,000).
The governor, who is paid $151,000 a year, lands at No. 29 on a second-string list of “other” state employees.
