My vote will be well cast for Snohomish County sheriff — John Lovick offers us a vast career in law enforcement, from patrol duties to command status with the Washington State Patrol. He received awards, including Trooper of the Year, WSP Life Saver Award, National Highway Traffic Safety Commission Special Director’s Award, National Commission Against Drunk Driving, and the Snohomish County DUI Task Force.
As 44th District representative, John was named speaker pro tem of the House, received awards as Legislator of the Year by many agencies and served as mayor pro tem of the City of Mill Creek — all examples of his leadership abilities. He will work well with the county executive and council and take full advantage of the abundance of leadership and intellect of the sheriff’s office’s current command staff and deputies garnered by his predecessor.
