I’m happy to support the candidacy of Ashvin Sanghvi for Mukilteo City Council. This extremely bright man is currently serving on the city’s planning commission, where his concise and innovative comments and ideas caught my attention.
You know the saying, “Hire the smartest person in the room, even if you don’t always agree with them”? That would be Sanghvi. He is running for this nonpartisan position against an incumbent who has been on council for 16 years. I even voted for Mr. Emery in the past, and 16 years is a good long run, but it’s now time to pass the torch and elect fresh faces with smart ideas in order to move Mukilteo in the right direction.
Our city is facing crucial future challenges including the building of a new waterfront, The state Growth Management Act housing and re-zoning issues, and burgeoning crime statistics. Currently retired, Sanghvi has managed multi-million-dollar projects, holds many patents and worked for Microsoft for years. He also was involved in successful start-ups and is well-versed in reading budgets, making clear decisions, and working with diverse populations and backgrounds. I think he will be an excellent asset to Mukilteo. My vote is for Ashvin Sanghvi and I encourage you to also consider this fine candidate for Position 4.
